The RIM program is a regulatory telematics application within the National Telematics Framework (NTF), administered by Transport Certification Australia (TCA). The program provides road managers and authorities with tools to enhance road access and compliance management.
These tools are created using Heavy Vehicle telematics data reported by either Registered or Certified Application Service Providers, such as V‑DAQ, at weekly or monthly intervals, which generally includes de-identified historical time and location information.
V‑DAQ offers an easy-to-install, cost-effective RIM tracker which makes getting setup on the RIM program quick and easy. You'll also get access to our Tracking Platform on Web and Mobile where you will gain access to essential fleet management tools such as live and historical tracking, reports and alerts.
Our expert team is dedicated to making it simple and affordable for transport operators to understand and meet their telematics requirements.

Access your RIM Certificate
Once enrolled in a RIM scheme, your PDF RIM Certificate will be available on the V-DAQ Platform on Web and Mobile.
Schemes define common rulesets for a specific vehicle type or freight activity where Regulatory Telematics is applied. Generally these schemes apply to specific notices, permits, or a combination of both.
Enrolment in a scheme is the final acknowledgement that a transport operator is meeting the Regulatory Telematics conditions as required. When enrolment is complete, you'll receive a RIM certificate.
